Bariatric Patient Care

R42

Two patient case studies are available, sharing the same 145kg presentation, weight distribution, and clinical profile. One presents as a middle-aged White patient, the other as a geriatric Black patient.

R42 features a natural range of joint and limb movement supporting accurate positioning and handling throughout the full patient journey, from pre-hospital transfer through to inpatient care. Interchangeable limbs present diabetic comorbidities and amputation, giving instructors control over the clinical picture each scenario demands.

R42 covers the full range of interventions from initial airway management through to catheterisation. The airway accepts supraglottic and nasal adjuncts, with chest rise supporting ventilation and intubation training, and limited neck movement presenting the physical constraints obesity places on airway access.
